World Book and Copyright Day is celebrated annually on April 23rd to promote reading, publishing, and copyright protection worldwide. This day serves as a tribute to the importance of books and intellectual property rights, highlighting their role in fostering creativity, education, and cultural diversity. It's a day to celebrate the power of literature to inspire, educate, and entertain, while also raising awareness about the challenges facing authors, publishers, and copyright holders in the digital age.
This year theme was "Read Your Way" . This subject highlights how important it is to develop a love of reading. It inspires people of all ages to discover how to interact with literature that speak to them.
This year Ms Karisma Swain delivered a talk on the significance of this day.
On this occasion , a workshop on Intellectual Property Rights(IPR) was conducted by AIC, NITF for the students of std - VIII & IX. This session was presented by Deepshikha Sarkar, AIC Manager.
She gave insightful talk on importance and need of IP in research and innovation . The next Gen innovators and researchers of our school not only attended but also interacted .
Finally some brand case studies were shown to the students and students took interest in it as it gave a practical experience to them.
