Celebrating National Librarians’ Day at DAV Public School, Pokhariput

A Heartfelt Celebration of Books, Reading and the People Who Make Our Library Special

A library is not merely a room filled with books—it is a place where curiosity grows, imagination takes flight and young minds discover new worlds. On the occasion of National Librarians’ Day, the Readers’ Club of DAV Public School, Pokhariput organised a warm and meaningful celebration to express gratitude towards the librarians and celebrate the special bond students share with their library.

The celebration was organised under the guidance of the Readers’ Club President, Ms. S. Saluja, whose constant encouragement inspires students to cultivate the habit of reading and actively participate in literary and library-related activities.

💐 A Heartfelt Thank You to Our Librarians

As a special gesture of appreciation, students of class- III to V prepared beautiful handmade “Thank You” cards for our dedicated librarians, Ms. Swagatika Das and Mr. Satyabrata Panda.

The colourful cards were filled with creative artwork and heartfelt messages expressing the students’ gratitude for the guidance, encouragement and support they receive in the library.

These handmade cards were much more than simple greetings. They reflected the students’ affection and appreciation for the librarians who help them discover fascinating books, explore new ideas and make their reading experiences enjoyable and meaningful.

❤️ “Why We Love Our Library” – Students Share Their Thoughts

Adding another beautiful dimension to the celebration, students of Class VI and VII participated in a special activity titled “Why We Love Our Library.”

The students wrote short notes expressing their thoughts, feelings and reasons for loving the school library. Their responses beautifully captured the many ways in which the library has become an important part of their school life.

Through their own words, the students shared how books and the library help them imagine, learn, relax and grow.
